Helloπ , you’re very welcome π.
On this site, I write blogs, and provide links to content that I find relevant and interesting. I tend to focus on things of personal interest to me, such as neurodiversity – my understanding of it, as well as lessons taken from a 25 year career in recruiting and leadership.
A little personal background. I grew up in rural IrelandβοΈ, only sister to five brothers π. I’m an aunt to 14 nieces and nephews, and a mum to a teenage son and daughter too.π I am a terrible cook, avid gym goer and, I hope, a half decent friend.
Keen on continuous learning, and with an interest in neurodiversity, in 2021 I invested in further education, studying for a masters that I completed in 2023. The course was titled ‘Autism and related neurodevelopmental conditions’. I am so grateful for it, and the spark that it lit in me to commit, and to strive to have a positive impact for different kinds of minds I see, at home and at work.π©π»βπ
The reflections in this blog are in no way fixed opinions, I change my mind, influenced by what I learn from experiences, thinking more on a subject, or simply from new information – and I learn something new everyday. I hope you enjoy what are therefore my reflections, thoughts and feelings from that moment when I wrote them.βοΈ
Finally, this is a personal site, thoughts shared here are not to represent or be attributed to any organisation or employer that I work with professionally.
P.S. I am a big fan of AI π€, and, so far, I use it to help me structure my articles, develop writing ideas, to generate some images, and to suggest more interesting ways to phrase things I might want to say. I think I have a good handle on not letting it tell me what to think or say, so the thoughts shared are my own. π
